Bama Yao Autonomous County is located at northwest of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is adjacent to Youjiang District, such cities and counties as Tianyang, Tiandong, Pingguo, Dahua, Donglan, Fengsan and Lingyun etc. The mean sea level of the county is between 600 m and 80Om; the annual average temperature is 20.4ºC; annual frost-free period is 337 to 358 days and annual precipitation is 1500-1800 mm.
